Skanska JV bags $918m contract to construct transit way in downtown Los Angeles

Skanska and Traylor Brother in joint venture have bagged a $918 m contract from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. 

The work is related to the construction of an underground transit way in downtown Los Angeles, US. 

The contract will have Skanska share of $ 574m and will be carried out by the joint Venture company Regional connector constructors. 

The work carried out by the Regional Connector project comprises of the Designing and construction of a 3-kilometre of double track light rail transit subway in downtown Los Angeles with three new stations. 

The construction work will commence soon and is likely to be completed in October 2020.
