In its aim to increase solar energy sources in India to 1, 00, 000 MW in five years; Central Government is in negotiations to get soft loans of close to Rs 8,000 crore from World Bank and KfW, importantly the deals will be finalized very soon.
The Modi government in the centres’ aim to provide 24 hour power to every corner of the country, it has planned to increase the installed solar power over the next five years by ambitious 1,00,000 MW against the current mere 2,500 MW. Hence these funds will be utilised for developing rooftop solar projects in the country.
Rs 6 lakh crore funding is the real requirement of this project
Mega solar power projects with capacities ranging between 700MW TO 800MW are being planned and developed by centre and state governments of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
